For the second straight night, the Niverville Nighthawks got the better of the Steinbach Pistons—and for the second straight night, it was a tight, hard-fought affair. Led by a two-goal performance from forward Kole Mears, the Nighthawks skated to a 5–4 win, moving into sole possession of second place in the East Division standings.

Two of the MJHL’s top teams went head-to-head Friday night. This opener of a two-game home-and-home series between the Niverville Nighthawks and Steinbach Pistons lived up to the hype.

The Niverville Nighthawks will have a strong presence on the international stage this December, as the team’s general manager and director of scouting, Mike McAulay, has been named Director of Operations for Team Canada West at the upcoming 2025 World Junior A Challenge.

The Niverville Nighthawks, playing their second game in less than 18 hours, gutted out a 4–3 shootout victory over the Neepawa Titans on Sunday afternoon at the CRRC.

Two of the MJHL’s top teams collided Saturday night at the CRRC, and fans were treated to an exciting matchup. In the end, the Niverville Nighthawks outlasted the league-leading Selkirk Steelers 3–2 in overtime.

Coming off their first loss of the season on Sunday afternoon against the Dauphin Kings, the Nighthawks were looking to bounce back Wednesday night while hosting the struggling Winnipeg Monarchs at the CRRC.
