Plumber

The Plumber will be responsible for performing plumbing repairs, installations, inspections, and preventive maintenance in occupied and vacant residential units. The ideal candidate is experienced, safety-focused, customer-service oriented, and able to work independently as collaboratively with a team. 

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, drainage problems, and fixture malfunctions
Install and replace faucets, toilets, sinks, hot water tanks, pipes, shut-off valves, and other plumbing components
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance across multiple properties
Respond to emergency service calls promptly and professionally
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent
Collaborate with maintenance technician team, completing other general repairs as required
Ensure compliance with Manitoba plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company policies

Qualifications:

Red Seal Plumber certification and Gas Fitter B required
Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
Clear Criminal Record required
Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems and Manitoba plumbing code
Experience working in property management, residential maintenance, or service plumbing 
Experience servicing hot water tanks and make up air units
Experience using computers, smartphones, and tablets; used for email, electronic work order applications, time sheets
Ability to troubleshoot effectively and work independently.
Strong communication, customer service, and time-management skills
Ability to lift and carry tools/equipment and work in a variety of environments (basements, tight spaces, outdoor conditions)
Ability to work on call as required
