Music lovers will be flocking to Perron Park in St. Adolphe on June 17 for the town’s music festival, hosted by Roger Brodeur. This free event will run from noon until evening and is for all ages. As of right now, seven local bands are booked. 

On June 2–3, the Grande Pointe Homeowners Association is hosting a celebration at their community’s park at 423 Bernat Road. The outdoor event will be a fun weekend for all ages, and the proceeds will help to continue the park’s development. 

As of September 2016, Quantum Dance Academy opened two new locations in the southeast. One is located in Île-des-Chênes, at 539 Main Street, and the other is location in Lorette, at 1309 Dawson Road.

Southern Manitoba’s own Quinton Blair will kick things off on Saturday, June 10 at 7:00 p.m. on the Olde Tyme Country Fair’s main stage. Blair is this year’s opening act.

One of the pinnacles of any artist’s career is their moment of public recognition in the presence of esteemed peers. The Manitoba Book Awards is an annual awards ceremony held in Winnipeg to acknowledge the incredible achievements of our province’s many writers, editors, designers, and illustrators of the literary arts.

Steinbach Neighbours for Community is sponsoring a new production this spring, called Laughter is Sacred Space. The touring production, featuring Ted Swartz, will be performed at the SRSS theatre on Friday, May 12 at 7:30pm. Tickets are available for $12 at the Steinbach Arts Council.
