As of February 18, three new medical doctors are seeing patients at Open Health Niverville. This brings the clinic’s total physician count to 15.

Dr. Trevor Poole will work out of the clinic four days per week. He is currently accepting new patients who register through Family Doctor Finder.

Working out of Niverville on a more casual basis are Dr. Shady Attalla and Dr. Mazin Tuma, there to provide same-day physician appointment options.

Not to be confused with walk-in appointments, same-day appointments account for a certain portion of the day allocated to patients who call the clinic needing quicker access to a doctor than their family doctor may be able to provide. Same-day appointments are limited in number and based on provider availability.

Dr. Poole comes to Niverville having worked in clinic and ER settings in the Prairie Mountain Health region in southwestern Manitoba. He graduated medical school through the University of Saskatchewan and completed his residency in family medicine in Brandon.

He welcomes patients of every age, with special interest in LGBTQ+ health, mental health, and ADHD, as well as preventative health.
