Niverville’s local Communities in Bloom committee is in full swing now that spring has arrived. As in previous years, their annual tree-planting initiative is underway. But there’s also a new, eye-catching endeavour: the Community Tile Mosaic Project.

Ritchot’s council hosted a special delegation at their May 22 meeting which once again resulted in a full council chamber. Many of those in attendance were residents who live along Marchand Road. They were represented by delegate and neighbour, Jim Wilderman.

This spring, Niverville’s Candace Alarie, founder and CEO of SOAK Bath Co, was given a special opportunity to attend an exclusive conference in Toronto hosted by lifestyle influencer Jillian Harris. SOAK was selected as one of only seven vendors to participate in an intimate pop-up market called Academy in the City.

Based on a survey conducted by the Town of Niverville in March, the majority of Niverville’s well owners are content to keep the status quo with their well water systems, at least for now.

Sixty-five years after the Louis Riel Bridge was first constructed in Ste. Agathe, the community’s iconic Red River overpass is set to undergo a major overhaul. Construction is expected to begin this summer and will be carried out in three phases, spanning two years.

The fall of 2024 will bring a new face to the administration of Bothwell School. Amanda Dent will be replacing Laura Rekrut as principal in the coming school year.
