From April 29 until May 5, Tim Hortons is running their annual Smile Cookie fundraiser. This year, the Niverville location at 20 Drovers Run is raising money to aid in the purchase of two new community mobility vans.

Talk to the Tail, a dog daycare facility in Niverville, is about to expand to a second location. The 5,000-square-foot building at 455 Wittick Street, in the Niverville Industrial Park, has been custom-designed to give dogs the safest and most comfortable space possible.

Storage Bros has opened their doors in Ste. Agathe, offering storage units for personal and commercial goods for residents of the southeast. The business is located on Voyageur Road and offers units sized from 6-by-6 to 12-by-18, as well as barbed-wire security fencing, 24-hour customer access, and 24-hour camera surveillance.

Beginning in September, the Niverville High School (NHS) will have a new face behind the principal’s desk. Paul Grosskopf has been appointed to the position, replacing Kimberley Funk.

For the first time since cannabis was legalized in 2018, adult recreational users in Manitoba will have the green light to grow their own plants for personal use.

On April 12, the Niverville Chamber of Commerce held their annual general meeting, awards, and dinner at the Heritage Centre. Chamber members celebrated the year’s achievements alongside several notable guests, including Niverville mayor Myron Dyck, MLA Ron Schuler, Minister of Economic Development Jamie Moses, and Craig Tomlinson, representing MP Ted Falk.
