Since October 2022, one Ste. Agathe resident has been vigilantly working to save his land from being deemed forever idle and unproductive. On May 17, Guy St. Hilaire made a heartfelt appeal to the Ritchot’s council for help in his battle.

On May 16, Niverville’s council approved the first reading of a new bylaw which places regulations on mobile food trucks in the community. This is in response to requests they’ve received in recent years from come-and-go vendors looking for busy local spots to sell their wares.

On May 17, Ritchot’s council voted unanimously in favour of entering into a contractual agreement with Pretium Projects Ltd for the $2.6 million expansion of the municipal office and community outdoor space.

It’s been less than nine months since Chris and Maria Holbrow of Forgotten Flavours first introduced their artisanal bread to the residents of Niverville. The company is already ripe for expansion.
