In an ongoing effort to reduce carbon-created greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030, the federal government has partnered with Manitoba to help support fuel-saving efforts in the province’s trucking industry.

On the morning of June 1, the Manitoba Association of Health Care Professionals (MAHCP) went public with their intent to take strike action by June 15 if the negotiating parties haven’t reached an agreement before then.

On May 16, Niverville’s council approved the first reading of a new bylaw which places regulations on mobile food trucks in the community. This is in response to requests they’ve received in recent years from come-and-go vendors looking for busy local spots to sell their wares.
