Niverville to Host National Men’s Volleyball Championship

An exciting sporting event is coming to Niverville next year. The Niverville CRRC has been chosen as the host facility for the 2025 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) men’s volleyball championship. Providence University College in Otterburne will also play host to their fellow CCAA teams from March 3–9 next year.

Joey Villanueva, a singer from Niverville, has taken one of the top prizes in this year’s Pinoy Pop Star, a singing competition that features the best of the best in Manitoba’s Filipino community. The grand finals took place in front of a sold-out crowd at the McPhillips Street Casino in Winnipeg.
