Beginning November 13, the NDP has shifted the faces of portfolios of several cabinet positions. At the same time, new cabinet ministers have been added, as well as one new department: the Department of Innovation and New Technology.

For Habitat for Humanity Manitoba, this year marks a new beginning, with the addition of both a fresh revenue stream and valuable team. The not-for-profit has formed a unique alliance with the Niverville-based for-profit real estate appraisal firm Red River Group (RRG).

Niverville’s newest retail shop is bringing artisans and local business owners together into one space with the Niverville Pop-Up Shop. 

The results are in from this year’s school board election in Hanover School Division’s Ward 1, which includes the communities of Niverville, New Bothwell, Kleefeld, and Crystal Springs. Incumbent Shannon Friesen handily won re-election with 893 total votes.

The local results are in from this year’s Manitoba-wide municipal elections. Several members of Ritchot’s council won their seats by acclamation this year, including Mayor Chris Ewen, Janine Boulanger (Ward 4), and newcomer Curtis Claydon (Ward 3). Claydon replaced outgoing councillor Jeannot Robert, who had decided earlier this year not to seek re-election.

A local woman is getting on board with the adult colouring trend by offering Niverville’s first ever Color Between the Wines event. 

A professor from Trinity Western University in British Columbia is poised to launch a two-part lecture series at Providence’s Otterburne campus, which will be free of charge and open to the public. The series, entitled “Can We Talk? The Role of Apologetics in Contemporary Public Discourse,” will take place on October 30.

Keziah Hoeppner, a Grade 12 student at NCI, co-captains her soccer squad and her veteran leadership has been a key factor in the team's success.
