The month of November has been a busy one for Clipper Ice Sports in Niverville.

If you haven’t stopped by the Niverville Arena parking lot in a while, you may not have noticed the major addition of the town’s new outdoor rink, complete with boards.

This year, the Île-des-Chênes Minor Hockey Association has two Initiation teams, two Novice teams, two Atom teams, and two Peewee teams playing in the Eastman Minor Hockey League. 

Grade 5 student Ciara Kehler has been an integral player on th eRed River Rage Ringette U12 team for the past four years.

When you enter into the space of SOL Designs, you encounter perfectly balanced objects. Intricate as they are simple, each piece combines thoughtful combinations of felt, wood, metal, linoleum, and leather. The designer behind these objects is Sol Desharnais of St. Pierre, who specializes in handbags and home accessories with elegant, minimalist lines that he sells in markets across Canada.

Niverville’s town council is seeking feedback from the community about planning for the future. As part of their consultation efforts, they hosted an open house at the CRRC on the evening of December 19.

The RM of Ritchot has some big topics on their agenda and from late October to early November they took these topics on the road, stopping at five locations within the municipality. Residents were encouraged to come out and provide essential feedback to council as they move toward some timely decisions in 2018.
