Whitetail Meadow Spring Market Still Good to Go

Despite some uncertainty created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual Whitetail Meadow Spring Market is still on the books. As of this writing, unless public health orders substantially change, the event will kick off on Sunday, May 2 at Whitetail Meadow, located at the corner of Highways 311 and 200.

The CRRC in Niverville, when completed, will serve as a hub for the 2022 Winter Games.

Winter Games One Year Off

In just 11 months, the Town of Niverville will officially host the 2022 Manitoba Winter Games, and in that time a lot of work will be done to get ready for the town’s week in the spotlight. The Games will open on February 27, and run for one week until March 5.

On Thursday, April 1, it was announced that the Niverville Olde Tyme Country Fair, for the second year in a row, will not be taking place.

Starting today, April 1, Niverville Service to Seniors is partnering with Bistro 290 to provide low-cost meals for seniors, Monday through Friday. Meals will cost $7 for a healthy, freshly prepared hot lunch delivered to Niverville’s many senior residents by local volunteers.

The rural southeast was rattled on Thursday, March 25 when the RCMP were called to investigate a disturbance along River Road near Lorette. The call, alerting authorities about a break-and-enter in progress, came in at 1:15 a.m.
