Niverville Celebrates 50 Years in Style

On Sunday, September 8, residents of Niverville poured into Hespeler Park to mark the fiftieth anniversary since the town’s incorporation back in 1969. The day drew a large crowd that is estimated to have been about 1,500 people, and no doubt the warm weather and sunshine contributed to the event’s success. 

 Manitoba’s forty-second general election, held on September 10, is in the books, and Premier Brian Pallister’s Progressive Conservatives have won a second majority government. Unofficial tallies as of Tuesday night peg the seat counts at 36 for the PCs, 18 for the NDP, and 3 for the Manitoba Liberals.
