In the last week, it’s become clear that Manitoba’s COVID-19 case numbers have begun to stabilize—but the goal is still to reduce those numbers. The provincial government has therefore announced that the current public health orders will be extended until January 8, 2021.

As we head into December, the Town of Niverville wants to remind its residents about its snow route parking ban.

On December 1, the Board of Governors of Providence University College and Theological Seminary announced its new President. Dr. Kenton C. Anderson will take over the position following David Johnson’s semi-retirement on June 1, 2021.

A public hearing will take place in Niverville on December 15 at which town council will hear from a new applicant seeking to open a cannabis retail outlet. The proposed location is at 41 Main Street, a unit in the new commercial strip mall where construction will begin this month.

St. Adolphe resident Cameron Bennett is about to launch a new grassroots project which he believes could help sufferers of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The goal of the not-for-profit organization will be to aid veterans and first responders in better managing their PTSD symptoms by learning the skills of artistic blacksmithing and metalworking.

The pandemic has taken away a lot of our entertainment opportunities, but a couple from St. Adolphe took advantage of some unseasonably warm weather in November and put in the hard work to give the locals a new place to play.
