The Last Grad Class of NCI

Under the traditional strains of Pomp and Circumstance, the last graduating class of Niverville Collegiate Institute marched toward the future at this year’s graduation ceremony on Wednesday, June 26. These 55 students said goodbye to NCI, and so did all the rest of us. While next summer will produce another crop of promising graduates, they will be products of Niverville High.

On Tuesday, July 23, Niverville’s town council turned down an application by Canna Cabana to open a cannabis retail outlet on Bronstone Drive. Council’s vote was split 3–2 against the proposal.

Cannabis Retail Outlet Denied by Niverville Council

A public hearing was held at the Heritage Centre on Tuesday, July 23 to discuss a conditional use application by cannabis retailer Canna Cabana to open for business at 349 Bronstone Drive in Niverville. Approximately 60 residents filled council chambers to speak to the issue or simply witness the results.
