Students, teachers, and administrative staff filled Niverville Collegiate to capacity on June 14 to celebrate the end of one era and the beginning of a new. This fall, the school’s students and teachers will branch off. Some will fill the new classrooms and halls of Niverville High School while others will return to the same building with a new name, Niverville Middle School.

The Hanover School Division is poised to reinstate an addictions counsellor to serve students in the school division.

Pack up the kids, a picnic blanket, and a hearty appetite for the sixth annual Jour de Plaisir (Day of Fun) hosted by Ritchot Senior Services (RSS). Niverville’s town council gathered for their first meeting of the month on June 4. A delegation from the Manitoba Municipal Relations Assessment Services (MMRAS) was present to provide an overview of their report on the provincial government’s 2020 property reassessment plan.

Residents of Niverville, in collaboration with the Canadian Mental Health Association Central (CHMAC), plan to take on the stigma attached to PTSD suffered by emergency first responders.
