The Hanover School Division’s Board of Trustees recently approved their budget for the upcoming school year. The budget, which anticipates an increase in enrollment of 71 students, provides funding for continued growth.

Niverville High School Construction Begins with Sod-Turning

Officials gathered in Niverville on Friday, March 23 for the sod-turning ceremony for the new high school. Superintendent Randy Dueck and several Hanover School Division trustees were joined by Ian Wishart, Manitoba’s Minister of Education; Shannon Martin, MLA for Morris; Niverville Mayor Myron Dyck; Michael Fritschij of MCM Architects, the firm who designed the building; and Tony Bergagnini of Red Lake Construction, which is poised to begin construction.

Local Chamber Members Get Wiens Tour

The Niverville and Ritchot Chambers of Commerce have announced the first event in their 2018 Open for Business series. The series, begun last year as a joint initiative between the two Chambers, offers members the opportunity to tour prominent local businesses and meet fellow entrepreneurs.

The tendering process is complete for Hanover School Division’s new Niverville high school. After receiving several competitive bids, the contract has been awarded to Red Lake Construction.
