On Tuesday, November 2, Niverville’s town council convened for a regularly scheduled meeting at the Community Resource and Recreation Centre.

According to locally owned Prairie Sky Properties, Niverville’s newest residential development is underway. Called Fairway Drive Estates, owner Jeremy Braun says that the development will see the construction of 27 multifamily bungalows on Fairway Drive in Niverville.

Sometime in the first half of 2023, as previously announced, the rapidly expanding town of Niverville will finally get its own RCMP detachment. The new station will be built on the same campus as Niverville’s municipal offices.

Starting today, October 26, the provincial government has extended the current public health orders for an additional three weeks—although there are many reasons to expect that these orders, or similar versions, will remain in place over the winter.

On October 18, Manitoba’s provincial government brought in a vaccine mandate for frontline workers. Public employees in education, licensed daycares, hospitals, and other workplaces are now required to be fully vaccinated or undergo regular COVID-19 testing.

One of the last residential homes on Main Street Niverville is set to be demolished to make room for another commercial strip mall. Local real estate developer Ray Dowse is poised to transform 31 Main Street.
