Niverville Council Meeting in Review: December 4

On December 4, Niverville held a public council meeting at 9:00 a.m. to discuss a number of conditional use permits that have come forward. Owners of businesses coming to 40 Drovers Run, including Negash Coffee and Niverville’s Pizzeria, requested conditional use permits for the opening of their new businesses in the spring of 2019. Both were granted by acclamation of council.

Sunday, November 11, saw the vast ballroom of the Niverville Heritage Centre filled to near capacity as approximately 650 residents gathered to remember those who paid the ultimate price to buy our freedom. Also acknowledged were the many men and women who have and still serve in military roles. This year marked the one hundredth anniversary of the end of World War I.

Niverville Seniors to Benefit from Holiday Sale

Niverville’s Service to Seniors is hosting their annual craft and bake sale at the Golden Friendship Centre on Saturday, November 24. This indoor event will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and will include local favourites like The Perogy Lady and Avon, as well as many homemade crafts and baked goodies. The event has been running for about ten years and helps keep the cost of special events down for the seniors in the community.
