It was a night of celebration at the CRRC as the Niverville Nighthawks gave their families, friends, and billet parents plenty to cheer about, skating to a 6–2 victory over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines on Billet Appreciation Night.

It didn’t come easy, and at this time of the year the wins never do, but the Niverville Nighthawks found a way to earn a gritty 3–2 victory over the Swan Valley Stampeders at the CRRC.

A six-point performance from Hayden Wheddon powered the Niverville Nighthawks to a dominant 9–1 victory over the Portage Terriers Wednesday night at the CRRC, extending their winning streak to four games.

The Winter Olympics have come to a close, but several local youth athletes are preparing for their own moment on the big stage at the upcoming Manitoba Games. Held every two years and alternating between summer and winter competitions, the Games will take place this year in Thompson from March 1–7. More than 1,500 competitors from across Manitoba will take part, including more than 150 athletes representing Team South in 12 sports.

The Niverville Nighthawks wrapped up their northern road trip Saturday night with a hard-fought 3–2 overtime victory over the Northern Manitoba Blizzard, completing a four-game season sweep of the season series.
