On October 29, the Niverville High School (NHS) gymnasium hosted its first major event—the official ribbon-cutting ceremony of the school’s grand opening. Students, staff, community leaders, dignitaries, and residents all turned up for the auspicious occasion.

A local developer, Ray Dowse of Westside Properties Inc., has collaborated with a local company, Bristal Hauling, to bring an innovative new waste collection method to Niverville: underground waste receptables.

The brother and sister team of Tim and Laura Mulvena, as well as Tim’s brother-in-law Carl Pottinger, are more than just excited as they expand their Chicken Chef franchise ownership into Niverville.

Niverville’s council held a brief meeting on Tuesday, October 22 to cover a short list of agenda items. Mayor Myron Dyck was not in attendance.
